Som vanlig var FDB på Produksjonsteknisk konferanse (PTK) 2025 i Trondheim. Et kjempeflott arrangement der vi møter interesserte og entusiastiske folk fra fornybarnæringen.

We have since end of 2024 collaborated with power plant technicians, asset experts and maintenance leaders in Sira-Kvina Kraftselskap to develop user interfaces for them.

NTE and FDB commissioned the HydroCord system for Byafossen hydro power plant in 2024. The system gathers raw data in the form of a mix of analog signals. These are both new sensors mounted as a part of the commissioning and copying signals that are a part of the process control system. This provides a significantly better starting point for analyses and monitoring than traditional data extraction from SCADA.

It has roughly been a year since Sira-Kvina Kraftselskap introduced us to AIMSES, a spin-off from NTNU Technology Transfer. Research on fault detection in electrical machines in HydroCen, by Hossein Ehya, was ready to take the next step. From field measurements with oscilloscope to continuous measurements on a large hydro power generator.

The big annual technical conference, Produksjonsteknisk konferanse (10-12.03 Clarion Hotel Trondheim), for Norwegian renewables is less than a month away. FDB is well represented with both stand (nr 13) and 5(!) lectures.

At FDB, we hold an annual gathering, usually in Oslo. Given that we are spread across the country, it is important to have this meeting place, and we use the time for necessary and required training, education, and updates on all our internal tools.
