Collaboration between EnginSoft and FDB on CAE for the O&G industries

Starting April 10, 2012 EnginSoft (Trento, Italy) and FDB agreed, through a letter of intent, on a collaboration on marketing, sales, consultancy and training on Computer Assisted Engineering (CAE) software targeting the Norwegian oil and gas industries.

EnginSoft has a focus on supporting and promoting the development of specialized CAE software within the University and Institute sectors. As a consequence EnginSoft can deliver multi-discipline CAE solutions for most engineering actors within the Oil and Gas industries. FDB delivered services on fluid-dynamics and heat transfer using state-of-the-art CAE software, and will through this collaboration be able to provide more wide variety of CAE services.

Håkon H Francke has passed the Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) Exam. Certified Associate Developers have successfully completed a comprehensive evaluation of the candidate's fundamental understanding of the LabVIEW environment and the applied use of their knowledge.

The latest addition to our staff is Jarle Vikør Ekanger. He is MSc from NTNU, he graduated from the Energy and Environmental studies program, focusing mainly on fluid dynamics, but also on thermodynamics. He wrote his project and master theses at the Waterpower Laboratory, looking into swirling draft tube flows in his project thesis, and investigating the plausibility of morphing skins in hydroturbines in his master thesis. Jarle has experience from lab work, building Labview control systems, and simulation of turbomachinery using CFD-tools.
